Calgary’s Christmas market season starts in the foothills in early November and runs right up to Christmas Eve downtown. This calendar lists every market and holiday craft fair we’ve confirmed for 2026, in date order, from the big European-style markets to church-hall craft sales.

The Big Five

• Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market: Nov 13–15, 20–22, 27–29 and Dec 4–6. 325+ vendors, adults-only Friday nights. $20 adults.
• Calgary Winter Market at Eau Claire Plaza: new downtown European-style market, Thu–Sun Nov 19–Dec 13, then daily Dec 15–24.
• Millarville Christmas Market: Nov 5–15 at the Millarville Racetrack, timed entry.
• Banff Christmas Market: four weekends Nov 19–Dec 13 at the Banff Train Station.
• Calgary Farmers’ Market Christmas Market: indoors and free, Nov 18 (West) / Nov 19 (South) to Dec 23.

These ran in 2025 and usually return, but we hadn’t seen 2026 dates when we updated this page: Market Collective Holiday Market (BMO Centre, early-to-mid December), Inglewood Holiday Night Market, Saskatoon Farm Christmas Market near Okotoks, the University of Calgary Holiday Market at the Olympic Oval, and Winter Local at Tsuut’ina Nation.

Tips for Calgary Christmas Markets

• Buy timed tickets ahead for Millarville, Spruce Meadows and Banff. Weekend slots sell out.
• Go Friday or Sunday to dodge the Saturday crowds.
• Dress for outdoors. Even “indoor” markets usually mean walking between buildings.
• Bring a reusable bag and some cash for smaller vendors.
