The Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo is hosting a Specialty Holiday Brunch in Safari Lodge on December 20 and 27, 2026, plus a Festive Feast buffet add-on during ZOOLIGHTS.

The Once Upon A Christmas breakfast buffet is a December weekend tradition for families.
Hotel Christmas Brunches
Downtown hotels, including the historic Fairmont Palliser, traditionally serve Christmas Day brunch buffets. They’re the easiest Christmas Day meal with kids and often include carollers or Santa.
Christmas Day Dinner
Many independent restaurants close on December 25, so hotel dining rooms and a handful of downtown and Beltline restaurants carry the day. Ask about set menus and whether they include a kids’ price.
