Driving and Parking
- Spruce Meadows: parking is included with market admission. The Enchanted Festival offers free parking on the west side.
- Calgary Zoo: $14 at the North Gate via ParkPlus. The West Gate is closed for construction.
- Heritage Park: paid ParkPlus parking in the front lots. In 2025, Calgary Transit Route 502 ran from Heritage Station.
- Lions Festival of Lights: park on nearby side streets.
- Downtown: parkades fill on weekend evenings; transit is easier.
Winter Driving Tips
- Use winter tires and leave extra space on Deerfoot and Crowchild.
- Check 511 Alberta before driving to Banff, Millarville or Okotoks.
- Keep a scraper, blanket and phone charger in the car.
- Plug in block heaters on very cold nights.
Holiday Transit Schedules
Calgary Transit runs holiday schedules on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, and sometimes adds late service on New Year’s Eve. Check the Calgary Transit trip planner for each date.
