When the Calgary Hitmen score their first goal, the Saddledome erupts and tens of thousands of teddy bears rain onto the ice. The Teddy Bear Toss is one of Calgary’s most joyful Christmas traditions, and it collects toys for kids who need them.

How It Works
Buy a ticket, bring a new plush toy (with tags on), and throw it onto the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal. Volunteers gather the bears and they’re distributed to local charities the next day.
Tips
- Bring a new toy that’s soft; no hard plastic.
- Buy tickets early: the game sells out.
- Sit close to the glass for the best throw.
