Millarville Christmas Market 2026

For a lot of Calgary families, the Christmas shopping season doesn’t start downtown. It starts on a country road in the foothills, at the Millarville racetrack, with a coffee in one hand and a list in the other. The Millarville Christmas Market is the first big market of the year around Calgary, with more than 300 vendors in four heated buildings and across the grounds.

The 2026 market runs Thursday to Sunday, November 5–8 and November 12–15, from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Millarville Christmas Market 2026: Quick Facts

Tickets

Admission is $8 per person, and children 12 and under get in free. You can buy timed tickets online for a specific day and arrival time, or pay at the door. Weekends are busiest, so a Thursday or Friday visit is the easiest.

What You’ll Find

• More than 300 vendors selling Christmas décor, handmade gifts, jewellery, clothing and specialty food
• The Kids Only Shoppe, where kids 5 to 12 shop for family gifts (everything $15 or less) with help from the elves, who wrap them too
• Photos with Santa and face painting
• Food trucks and hot drinks

Know Before You Go

• Arrive early. The free parking lot fills quickly on weekends.
• Dress in layers. Four spaces are heated, but you’ll walk outside between them.
• Wear boots. Outdoor areas can get muddy.
• Leave the dog at home. Only service dogs are allowed in the market area.

Getting There

Millarville is about 40 minutes southwest of Calgary via Highway 22X and Highway 22. There’s no transit, and late-fall weather in the foothills can change fast, so check road conditions before you go.
